When I was 18 and gung ho it was fine. A free meal or 6 pack was always welcome since I made less than a grand a month.

I love Black Rifle Coffee, very smooth. I’m not a coffee connoisseur though. I will say that during Covid at the height of the George Floyd aftermath & the anti-police rhetoric going wild everywhere, Black Rifle Coffee delivered an entire pallet of coffee to our police station for free. It was a pretty incredible gesture at the time considering there were so many people and places actively jeering. I’ll probably support them forever.

When I go to the SHOT Show, the guy that goes with me did that.
Any vet we walked passed, he would say “thank you for your service”, as they were in conversation with someone else or just walking by minding their own business.
This year on the night we arrived, I told him to knock that shit off, that most of them find it uncomfortable that a stranger would give them an unsolicited compliment.
As a vet I’m friends with said “that’s like going up to a random stranger and saying thank you for paying your taxes”.
I said stop doing it, and if you are, only do it to someone we are having a conversation with and only if they bring up that they’re a vet.
He didn’t do it this year. And thank God because it annoyed the fuck out of me.

Their Just Black is hands down the best black coffee I’ve ever had. There really isn’t a second place, until I tried it I didn’t know black coffee could be that smooth. Some of their other blends I didn’t care for at all. Thats why coffee makers make a variety of blends, everyone has different tastes.

Dude has always been a tool. Got to the point that I couldn’t even stand the sound of his voice and I couldn’t put my finger on why he bugged the shit outta me. He was checking positive boxes: Vet, Patriot, seemed based, loved BJJ and a helluva fighter. My gut just hated his guts.

Both my grandpas were WW2 vets. One in Europe and one in the Pacific. One NEVER said a peep about it to anyone. Not even at his funeral was there any mention of his service. The other was a Marine that was in Okinawa and didn’t say shit until he was in his 80s and then it was small mentions. Glimpses.

Second rotation (Afghanistan) wasn’t part of an ODA, worked with Czech SOF doing little to nothing. This was the convoy situation where he was an ASO/LNO in Kandahar (basically worked the floor of the JOC giving 24hr reports on what the Czech SOF were doing).
His active duty time was 2006-2008 (2yrs) and it consisted of the above.
On top of that accomplished and solid MMA fighter but it was NEVER enough so…here we are and I hope that POS gets his tab pulled! Send a f’ing message for a change!
Think about this, he was sooooo great, soooo much experience, killed hundreds yet for some reason he was sent to LNO.
