Ubereem vs Alex Pereira

Ubereem was the most technically well rounded fighter in heavyweight history and probably would’ve beat Fedor. Fedor is the only man who could’ve possibly taken him at the time.

Undereem was still pretty good in his last UFC run. The beating he put on Roy Nelson was legendary. How many flying knees can one man take to the face, sternum and bread basket in 15 minutes? This fight should be in the “one sided beatdown” wing of the hall of fame

There was absolutely a time (when Brock signed with the UFC) where 6 or 7 of the top 10 ranked HW’s were not in the UFC.

We have not seen Alex vs a natural HW yet!

There’s a very good chance he gets starched early by Gane!

Real question is does Ubereem or anyone else beat Ngannou?

I think so. In their fight, Overeem was visibly nervous about getting hit and fought very weird.

On the horsemeat, he was way more confident and he’d probably be willing to throw more.

Horsemeat would’ve been judo tripped to his back while Fedor secured top position where he would’ve reign down Ukrainian missiles on that big ass head of his.

Overeem was a bully that didn’t like to get hit when he was juiced up. Put him on his back he wouldn’t recover

I’m picking peak Fedor in a Pride ring over anyone.

Ubereem is near the top of the list though.

I think Jones avoided Ngannou.

He didn’t move up to heavy until Ngannou was gone.

Could he have taken Ngannou down and beaten him on the ground? Absolutely.

Could Ngannou have just thrown some wild punches and sent Jones head flying? Absolutely.

Yeah, during that time the consensus was the the best heavyweights in the world were in Strikeforce. On top of the ones you already mentioned they also had Cormier, Sergei, and Roy Nelson

Also Josh Barnett! Wow, the heavyweight division sucks now compared to then. That’s when Cro Cop, Nog, Ped e Pano, Gonzaga, Kongo, Pat Berry etc etc. were all active. There’s nothing close to that depth now.

Jones would be a 6 to 1 favourite in that fight.. and betting on Jones would be the smart play there. Don’t act like it’s 50-50.

Derrick Lewis beat him, and overrated Stipe beat him easily. Ubereem would have killed him as easily as Joshua did in boxing.

The only thing with that is I don’t think anybody took him down at heavyweight ever. I know they trained together and he caught Fedor in that guillotine of his, but I could also see a wild ass punch off of a body lock dropping him

They also had Shane Del Rosario and some other solid dudes. Wasn’t Werdum there at that time also? I know he was in Strkeforce

Reem’s chin was even more questionable than Pereira’s.

Body too.
