Rousey announced she was pregnant in July during an appearance at San Diego Comic-Con. She is married to former UFC heavyweight Travis Browne and gave birth to their first daughter, La’akea Makalapuaokalanipō Browne, in 2021.

Rousey is one of the most important figures in MMA history as a pioneer of women’s MMA. She was the first ever female UFC champion and held the women’s bantamweight title for nearly three years and six title defenses. Following back-to-back losses, Rousey retired from MMA and moved into the world of professional wrestling where she found similar success, but retired in 2023 citing numerous concussions and negative relationship with the WWE.

There are no pure kanaka maoli anymore. If that kid is actually a quarter she’d be one of the purest in her generation when she grows up.

I like the Hawaiian names and they have good vibes and meaning. More than I can say about all the D’Javions and Quantrellius’s out there.

The more haole a kid is the longer the Hawaiian name is. There are a lot of long named white kids at my daughters school. They all su k and I want to smack the smug out of their faces

I always laugh at most of my friends talking about “Hawaiian sovereignty” and other subjects.

Almost none of them are actually Hawaiian

BJ always told me “kama aina” can be anybody who lives in Hawaii and is accepted by Hawaii and accepts Hawaii
