zero serious submission attempts that were actually threatening. One time he sort of might have had a choke but nothing really materialized. I like both fighters but seems to me he took some weird steps after that shot from strickland and most of the comments in that clip people are saying it. I remember spotting it when it happened.

He looked weak out of the gate. Not nearly as explosive as against DDP. Even his first round blitz was anemic.
As I said before, Khamzat is a weirdly inconsistent fighter. The guy who fought DDP and Rob was not the same guy who fought Strickland or Burns.

He was pressuring Strickland the whole fight. Strickland didn’t do enough damage to make up for pinning it in reverse for the last 3 rounds.
I think this is a preferable result anyways. I hope Strickland defends vs Imavov, not DDP.
