Who's your favorite boxer of all time?

Which makes sense.

And I would counter that by saying peak Tyson would be the same. Focused and disciplined.

I don’t pretend to know for sure what the outcome would have been.
I just know it would be a different fight.

Lewis is an all-time great.

I agree and I misspoke when I inferred he wasnt a top heavy but hes not the top dawg because of those losses to journeymen.

Lennox and Larry Holmes are two of the most under appreciated HWs in these discussions.

I think Klitchsko would’ve took him in the rematch.

That stoppage was fishy.
The cut was bad enough to stop when it happened. As the fight went on it wasn’t bleeding into his eye anymore, but it looked like Lewis might be in trouble – so decide to stop it then?

Makes no sense.

2 of the best ever.

I must be the only one who hated RJJ when he was fighting. Just too cocky.

I loved Larry Holmes growing up, in fact I think he got me into boxing as a little kid when he fought Gerry Cooney. I just recall that there was a lot of hoopla and hype surrounding that match which made it very interesting.

I dont like any flashy speed fighters. I respect it, it kills I just hate the run and gun style. RJJ, Floyd, Ali, Camacho, Hamed, SUGAR RAY LEONARD, etc. Hamed had a lot of pop so I wouldnt call him a runner, per se but he wiggled around gloating so he goes in the flashy category.

I like when they meet up to someone really good at timing and they get took apart. IE Barrera vs Hamed. Very satisfying. I will say, early Floyd was an absolute killer. Before he broke his hand then started jog fighting.

When I first got into watching boxing, I was watching it on Wide World of Sports. The first fighter I was a fan of was John The Beast Mugabi. He was 25-0 with 24 ko he then fought Marvelous Marvin Hagler. Hagler stopped him in the 11th round. I was a Hagler fan after that.

I will say when I was a kid there was a picture of Tyson in the TV Guide where he had at least three belts. One on his waist, one over a shoulder, and one in his hands. I thought that was so awesome I hung it on my wall. This was long before I really started paying attention to boxing.

My favorite fighter of all time was Trinidad. I wa actually sad when he last to Hopkins. Man Winky Wright took him to school. Also a big GGG man. Shame he didn’t get the decision in the Canelo fights. Can’t stand Canelo

Impeccable timing on that guy.

GGG is a good one.

I also have a hatred for Canelo that I can’t explain.

This was a crazy time. Margarito, DLH, Cotto, Mosley, Vargas, Forrest and fucking Mayorga lol

SRL was not a runner. 25 KO’s in 36 wins. He had to turn straight up brawler to beat Hearns. Watch his fights. He was a killer before all the retirements.

Imagine fighting prime 147 Hearns and realizing you’re going to have to walk that howitzer packing mufucker down. SRL did that.

I’ll give you that one, too but he was flashy so I will continue to hate him. I hate when a fighter shuffles or does the stupid arm spin fake punch bs. I cant stand watching the Diaz brothers stand-up either.
